Mr Douglas Foo was appointed to the Board of Perdana Petroleum Berhad on 21 May 2026.
Mr Foo has more than 30 years of experience in the maritime and offshore marine industry, with strong expertise in vessel construction, fleet operations, technical management and commercial oversight.
He began his career in 1995 with Bureau Veritas (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as a Marine Surveyor and Industrial Inspector, serving until 2003. He then joined Shin Yang Shipyard Sdn Bhd as Technical Superintendent and Project Manager, where he was involved in the delivery of more than 20 new-build vessels, including tugboats, offshore support vessels (OSVs), landing craft and work vessels.
In 2009, he joined DESB Marine Services Sdn Bhd as Construction & Maintenance Manager and Technical Manager. He was later appointed Technical & Operations Manager in 2018, a position he held until 2021. He currently serves as Fleet Manager, responsible for the overall management of fleet operations and broader corporate and commercial functions, including financial planning and budget control, profit and loss performance, tendering, contract and chartering activities, vessel insurance, newbuild projects, incident management, HSSE, procurement, client billing and collections, office administration and human resources, as well as risk and sustainability (ESG) governance.
